All the Indijazz dogs and puppies live indoors as part of the family. This means they are used to people, other dogs, cats, and especially children.

Buying a new puppy is not something to be taken lightly. One of the most important considerations is knowing you are buying your puppy from a reputable breeder. Before you commit to buying a puppy, it is vital you meet the breeder and see the pups with their mother.
Emma Towns is a member of both the German Shorthaired Pointer Association and the
German Shorthaired Pointer Club, and adheres to their stringent breeding standards.

- Undocked

- Used to other dogs, cats and children

Buying an Indijazz GSP puppy (top of page)
Before being considered as the prospective owner of an Indijazz German Short Haired Pointer puppy, you will be asked to visit Emma and her dogs at their Oxfordshire home.
You will want to make sure she is the right breeder for you and similarly, Emma will want to know you understand the commitment you are about to make. After this, your name will be added to the Indijazz 'waiting list'.
When the bitch is pregnant, you will receive a phone call letting you know the expected DOB of the puppies. Once safely delivered, you are encouraged to visit the pups as frequently as possible. This is particularly important if you have children … after all there is nothing so exciting as a brand new puppy!
When the puppies are 6 weeks old, they are assessed by Emma and allocated to their prospective owners. At between 7 and 8 weeks, your new German Shorthaired Pointer puppy will be ready to go home with you.

Taking your new puppy home can be as nerve-wracking as taking home a new baby! When you collect your new Indijazz German Shorthaired Pointer pup, you will receive a complimentary 'puppy pack'. This includes:
- An information brochure telling you everything you need to know about caring for your new addition
- A piece of puppy's bedding (which smells of 'home')
- Feeding instructions and puppy food
In addition, Emma will give you information on how to socialise your puppy and taking it for its first walks.

The Indijazz Breeding Programme (top of page)
The Indijazz bitches are bred only once a year and much research goes into finding the right sire for the litter. Once the bitch has been mated, she is scanned to determine how many puppies are expected. All Emma Towns' dogs live as part of the family, so are well socialised and cared for.
When the bitch goes into labour, Emma is in attendance from the first contraction to the final delivery. Her vet is only a phone call away, in case of emergency. At 3 days old, the puppies' dew claws are removed. None of the Indijazz puppies have their tails docked.
At around 4 weeks, the puppies are weaned onto a very wet mixture of puppy food. Over the next 3 to 4 weeks, the moisture level in the food is reduced. By the time your puppy is ready to go home with you, it is used to eating dry food.
